What is a Certificate of Origin?
A Certificate of Origin (COO) declares the country in which exported goods were manufactured or produced. Buyers, banks and customs authorities use it for clearance and, where applicable, preferential duty treatment under a Free Trade Agreement.
Non-Preferential vs Preferential
A non-preferential COO simply states origin. A preferential COO claims reduced duty under a specific FTA and must be issued through the designated authority for that agreement — this tool prepares the draft content, not the official issuance.
